Hengstler Award for Top Performers at "Haupt- und Berufsschule"
Hengstler celebrated its 150th anniversary in 1996. On this occasion, the Senior Management of Hengstler GmbH donated the "Hengstler Award" in 1997.
This award was offered as a prize for the best school leavers of the primary and secondary modern school in Aldingen and the vocational school in Spaichingen. The goal was to offer an incentive to young people and reward good performance and good grades, in particular.
In the meantime, about 16 young people have been able to qualify for the Hengstler award due to the good results they achieved at school.
The current prizewinners at the primary and secondary school in Aldingen are Swetlana Ryshaja, Ella Ptuhova, Romina Crapolicchio and Julia Müller.
The prizewinners at the vocational school in Spaichingen are Jens Merz, Kerstin Hafner, Inga Rups, Ren©e Gründig, Julian Hinz, Simone Würtz.
The prize for each winner was a bank savings bond of the local bank (Kreissparkasse) in Aldingen.
At the end of July all prize winners were invited to visit Hengstler (unfortunately, the winners of the vocational school in Spaichingen were unable to follow this invitation due to their time schedules). The visitors from the primary and secondary school in Aldingen were welcomed by our training manager, Hermann Höckl, as well as by Volker Hauser (HR) and Thorsten Weber (Youth Council). During their subsequent round of talks the young people addressed such issues as their expectations concerning a professional training at Hengstler and their own plans for the future. All winners plan to complete their first public examinations in secondary school and then start their business careers or study business.
This was taken into account during the tour of the plant, which was focused on the administrative divisions, e.g. Accounting, Human Resources, and Reception. During lunch the young ladies could "digest" all this information, talk about their impressions and also ask further questions.
We congratulate all prizewinners and wish them a lot of success and all the best for their further professional careers.
At the same time we would like to invite the new age group of students at the primary & secondary modern school in Aldingen and vocational school in Spaichingen to qualify for our next Hengstler Award 2003/2004 - It pays to do a good job!
