Our new C-56 printer more than just printing

New printer at high printing rate.

Hengstler GmbH proudly announce the new thermal receipt printer C-56 as reliable solution for many applications. This printer offers both a high print rate of up to 220 mm per second and a USB or RS-232 Interface.

Additionally an innovative cut concept was introduced, which prevents pulling out paper from the printer as protection against Vandalism.  Installation and integration into existing systems is much more simplified because of the front side slot.

A whole set of advantages - and all this at an extremely cost/performance ratio.  The C-56 mechanism has been designed in particular for application in self-service gasoline pumps in service stations, in terminals and vending applications.

The interfaces make the immediate transmission of bar codes, Logos and other graphics characteristics possible contrary to serial interfaces.  Thus the printer is not only suitable for printing simple receipts, but can be used for vouchers, receipts, tickets etc..  According to a statement of Roland Thuet, sales/product manager of the printer division at Hengstler "for a long time the print rate is a major topic within the range of printing applications. In the case of slow printers the user waits impatiently for the output, which leaves altogether a negative impression.  "low rate" interfaces create still further problems for the user with their long transmission time.  This kind of interfaces are simple in point of implementation, however they do not offer the necessary range for the transmission of large data sets e.g. for graphics. This is of crucial importance with a Windows driver, since the entire transmission is build up on graphics, even if it appears as text.  With parallel interfaces a certain acceleration could be achieved ", describes Mr. Thuet, "however the cables was too thick and unmanageable, and at unsupervised operation you had to pay attention to a faultless reset function."

The introduction of the USB and/or RS-232 Interface - as with the C-56 - is the perfect solution."  Apart from all these advantages the thermal Bondrucker C-56 offers a large paper supply. The paper width may vary from 58 to 60 mm (2.28" to 2.36"). While documents may be any length greater than 120 mm, most documents will fall in the range of 120 to 297 mm.
If documents are to be printed on preprinted forms or with a predetermined length, ‘Black Mark’ control is available. The horizontal and vertical print density is 203 dpi, a wide range of temperature (-30°C to +70°C) and a comfortable toolfree replacement of the main printing element complete the easy handling of the C-56 printer.
