Hengstler takes over NAMCO Controls GmbH, Germany

Since May 1, 2002 Hengstler GmbH / Aldingen is responsible for Namco Controls GmbH in Herzhorn

Effective on 1st May 2004, Hengstler GmbH in Aldingen (a member of the Danaher Corporation, USA) has assumed overall responsibility for Namco Controls GmbH in Herzhorn/Germany.

Namco Controls, USA, (also a member of Danaher Corporation), has been active in the field of controls and sensors for the heavy industry since 1937.  It all started with the Snap-Lock® limit sensor – a hallmark of highest reliability under extremely harsh operating conditions. Today Namco still is the only supplier of limit switches with NRC qualification for nuclear power plants. Namco has built up a global installation base and also supplies its products to key customers in the automotive and machinery, chemical and steel industries, as well as in the sectors of tire and textile production, power generation as well as numerous other industries.

The current portfolio comprises the following products:

  • Proximity  Sensors
for universal use, meeting all the requirements of a wide field of industrial applications. They are available for an actuating distance of 1-250 mm and NAMUR versions with actuating distances of 1 – 45 mm are also available.
  • Capacitive Proximity Sensors
for the detection of non-metals. The extensive range includes products for the detection of liquids, paper, granulated material/pellets, powder, etc. – the ideal choice for applications in the food, beverage and packaging industry.
  • Infrared Sensors
for the detection of the IR energy of hot materials. The main applications are found in the heavy industry, e.g. rolling mills, blast furnaces, and slab temperature controls.
  • Snap-Lock® Limit Switches
for 24-hour operation in environments that are exposed to excessive vibration, contamination and heat.
  • Flow Controllers
Flow controllers are used to monitor liquid or pasty agents in piping systems, e.g. coolant or lubricant flows in machine installations and yacht engines. Fully made of stainless steel, without any movable parts and with a flat sensor head, these flow controllers are ideal for a multitude of applications.  Deviations from adjusted parameters are indicated by an appropriate output signal.
  • Dual Inductive Sensors
recognize the position of part-turn valve actuators. These sensors monitor, for example, the target rectangle of a valve actuator and recognize up to four axis positions, corresponding to the respective valve positions.
